The 2009 Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach brings back the Australian Surf Pro (ASP) Top 45 to the iconic Bells Beach in Victoria from April 7 – 18, 2009. This years event will provide surfers and spectators with a dynamic new format. Event No.2 of 10 on the 2009 ASP World Tour, the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach will be the first event of the season to utilize the new format, where all heats will be eliminated man-on-man, and no ‘losers’ round will exist.
The Rip Curl Women’s Pro Bells Beach will run in conjunction with the men’s event, featuring the world’s top female surfers as they vie for the coveted ASP Women’s World Title.
